An option for the poor, a promise of quality
Reading the signs of the times, the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Anne, Tiruchirappalli, has vowed to place its thrust on opting for the poor. It has been working for the cause of education and the upliftment of the poor and downtrodden.
After a thorough study, reflection, prayer and discernment, the Congregation extended its mission through job-oriented training programmes in the name and style of St. Anne's College of Engineering and Technology — chiefly focusing on the option for the poor — and established the college in the academic year 2009 – 2010.
We train the youth to see the good in every human being and to take the best out of each individual, to inculcate a sense of values in every student and to help every person promote justice, peace and love in society.
St. Anne's College of Engineering and Technology is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. It is situated at Anguchettypalayam, near Panruti. The surroundings provide opportunities for our students both for training and employment, and students can reap the benefits of the institute through proper coordination.
Annai Velankanni Polytechnic College, also situated at Anguchettypalayam, has grown rapidly since 2003 under the management of the Sisters of St. Anne, Tiruchirappalli.
