From classroom to career
The placement office handles all aspects of campus placements for graduating students. It is well equipped with excellent infrastructure and the experts needed to support every stage of the placement process. Systematic, structured training in aptitude, interview skills, group discussions and soft skills is conducted regularly in the college.
The Placement Officer administers the placement programme — helping students find relevant placements that meet the internship criteria set out in the College Calendar and programme documentation, negotiating placements with participating firms, agreeing job specifications with employers, coordinating the interview process and liaising with firms throughout the placement period. The Placement Officer is also available to students during the placement period and communicates with both business and academic mentors.

- Look after the training and placement activities of students.
- Maintain close liaison with industry for placement of students.
- Work with the Industry–Institute Interaction coordinator to organise lectures by industry professionals.
- Collect feedback from companies coming for placement.
- Arrange training programmes in soft skills and interview-facing skills using institutional and external expertise.
- Organise entrepreneurship workshops.
- Watch job requirements in industries.
- Coordinate campus recruitment and in-plant training.
- Stay in contact with information experts in respective fields from industry.
- Arrange special lectures for the benefit of students and staff.
- Organise industrial training and field / industrial visits for students.
- Assist students in getting apprenticeship training.
- Identify relevant placement firms for the student internship programme.
- Administer student placements with firms — locating firms, agreeing job specifications and liaising with employers.
- Provide support for students on placement.
- Act as the primary contact between the employer and the institution.
